Worst Fight Scene Ever

Star Trek: The Original Series is well known for a lot of things. It was one of the first shows to have a black female character, it had some special effect which for it’s time were awesome, and it showed a space ship being attcked just by wobbling the camera and getting the actors to sway a little bit. These are all excellent reasons to love it, but I’ve found another. Here we have what is probably the worst fight scene ever to be shown on TV…

I challenge you to find a poorer, more amateurish effort than that anywhere. The lizardman is so slow, and you can tell he’s only got plastic teeth. It looks like they’re cuddling at one point. Now I know Kirk had an unnerving success rate with women but a lizard? Hmm.

And then the rock throwing begins and it gets worse. Kirk can see him picking a boulder up and decides to stand there, in clear view, rather than run and hide. Also, both protaganists look like they have weapons on their belt, but decide not to use them in favour of a nice bit of man on man action. I’m just glad they didn’t show the bedroom scene which followed.
