Total Lunar Eclipse From 03/03/07
On March 3rd of this year 2007, there was a full lunar eclipse visible from the UK, and Northern Europe. This video shows the process of the moon being first covered and then revealed into full sunlight again. It was pretty spectacular and this guy has done a very good job of taking the video footage and editing it down to a short 3 minute YouTube clip. The whole thing started at about 10:30pm and went on until about 3am the next morning.
Sometimes I think we forget how spectacular and beautiful nature can be, and this is proff of it once again. Even the fact or coincedence that the moon is exactly the right amount smaller than the sun relative to our position so that they fit perfectly is mindblowing. There have been alot of people asking about the music used, so to save you the trouble, it’s Samuel Barber’s ‘Adagio For Strings’ which has also been remixed by various DJs and used in ‘The Matrix’ films.
