The Bright Side of Creationists

Can you believe there’s still an argument about evolution? Haven’t we had this done and dusted about a hundred years ago? The occassion of Charles Darwin’s 200th birthday (which happend on 12 Feb) has brought the Creationists out of the woodwork on both sides of the Atlantic. Of course they’re not called Creationists any more — they’re “proponents of Intelligent Design”. Many of them are also are global warming deniers, not so oddly enough.

Which brings up certain problems, such as whether or not God exists and if He did, why in the heck did He do such a crap job? Charles Darwin did profess to belienve in God, because at the time he’d be committing professional suicide if he didn’t, but he probably was a Deist. (A belief that God exists but is not benevolent nor interested in manunkind.)

I’ve been reading in various self-help books that we are to find the bright side of everything. So, I’ve compiled a list of what Creationsits are good for.

They Show You How Not To Behave

We all need role models — even if the role model clearly teaches what not to do. Here’s a definate role model to show what not to do when you have too much time on your hands:

They Can Help The Poisoned

Suppose you’ve just discovered you’ve accidently eaten something you’re allergic to. The only way to save your life is by making yourself vomit. You could stick your finger down your throat or just watch Dr. David Berlinsky:

They Can Make Us Feel Better About Ourselves
