Sex Machine and Internet People - Meth Minute 39

by JM

I’m not sure if it’s James Brown going on and on about a machine meant to have sex with human females or just the strangeness of the whole cartoon, but I found this animated clip to be quite entertaining.

All in all it’s a strange video about James Brown’s strange trippy talk about sex machines and a new race of cyber humans. Do you need anything more than that?

Let’s go! 11010010000111101010101001

I saw this was number two of the Meth Minute videos, so I went and found the first one, which is even better than the first. (And funny because it starts out with a video I put up a couple weeks ago – remember Drama Prairie Dog?)

This musical video features some of the most well known video moments, so check it out and see if there’s anything you missed.

Candy - Iggy Pop

by JM

This one is going up because the song has been stuck in my head (after only being played once weeks ago), and it has taken me ages to find it because I couldn’t remember the lyrics. Has that ever happened to you? I swear it’s one of the more annoying things in the universe.

This brain addiction song is “Candy” by Iggy Pop. Read the rest of this entry »

Black Books - Episode One

by JM

My husband introduced me to Black Books when I came to Australia, and I have loved it ever since. Bernard’s generally sneering outlook on life paired with the other slightly off characters he encounters makes for a show that’s not quite like your usual half-hour show.

This video is the beginning of the first episode of Black Books. I had started with watching it on television, so it was very funny to go back and see what Manny was like before Fran and Bernard became a part of his life.

In this video you meet Bernard, Fran, and Manny and right away you get a taste of Bernard’s ‘unique’ personality. He has no problems making fun of anyone, that’s for sure…

Dane Cook

by JM

I’ve been a fan of Dane Cook for a long time. I watched him perform some of his first routines on Comedy Central. Since then, he has become a very popular comic, has gone on tours as well as shows like Jay Leno, and he had continued to be the same interesting comedian through all of the fame and lifestyle changes.

Unlike Steven Wright, who performs with a very dry, relaxed sort of routine, Dane Cook gets right into his performances, often shouting, jumping, and otherwise acting out his routines. Read the rest of this entry »

Back in Action

by JM

book-stack.jpgHello everyone!

I’m back from the writer’s conference – Conflux – and vacation, and I’m feeling good. I apologize for the lack of answering comments, but internet connections weren’t exactly abundant. I didn’t much care to work during my vacation anyway.

I hope you all enjoyed banned books week. A truly heartfelt thank you goes out to all of you who supported me on Fiction Scribe in my time of upset. I’m in the process of getting the rest of my books sent out here ASAP. I’ll also be buying another copy of the destroyed book when I can afford it. (Shipping to Australia…bah.)

I’ve answered all the comments now and am catching up on other news. If there’s anything I missed that you think I should know about you can, as always, feel free to contact me.

I’m very excited about NaNoWriMo and NaBloPoMo coming up next month. Keep checking in at Fiction Scribe because I have a little prize I’m going to give to one NaBloPoMo participant. I’d like to do something a little different in November as far as posting goes to go along with the events, but I’m not sure what to do. If you have any ideas, let me know.

I sincerely apologize for the quality of the posts over the last week (minus Allison’s guest post) but being ill and preparing for Conflux got to me. I’ll be back in action to the best of my ability now as things settle down and I get back into regular life.

If you have any videos you’d like to see put up here or would like to guest post a dig, feel free to contact me. I’m happy to talk to people about it.

Chaser’s War on Everything - Road Tests

by JM

And now, for my final contribution of dug Chaser’s War madness.

In this road test, the Chaser’s decide to test porn video scenarios in the real world to see how real women will react. With scenarios including the handy man and the pizza delivery man, you can be assured this another one of the Chaser’s fine television moments.

Enjoy. Read the rest of this entry »

Clear Blue Easy Commercial

by JM

I haven’t laughed so hard at a commercial in a long time.

Any woman who has thought she might be pregnant or who has been trying to get pregnant will likely take a home pregnancy test. Over the course of a woman’s life, she could end up taking dozens of them.

The women who have taken pregnancy tests (and women (and some men) in general) understand how stressful those three (or more) minutes can be when you’re waiting to find out the answer.

It’s because of all that, all the stress women (and couples) have to go through that makes me truly appreciate this pregnancy test commercial from Clear Blue Easy.

Watch the commercial. It’s only thirty seconds out of your life and definitely worth the laugh.

And for the ladies out there who have just found out they are pregnant, 451 has a Parenting 411 site for you.

Penis Enlargement Spam

by JM

We’ve all gotten those spam emails about how you can get your penis enlarged (why I, a female, should care about enlarging my penis, I don’t know) by buying these special pills or whatnot.

So what happens if you actually click the link…

Old Testament Minute

by JM

By Allison of Find Religion and Reality on Bravo

Sometimes, no matter how religious you may be, you just have to have a sense of humor!

And what can we learn from this video?

1) Religion isn’t something that has to eat up all of your time. Really, these are the basics of the OT, and he showed them to us in less than a minute.

2) When you simplify the stories of the Bible, they are pretty ridiculous. Instead of focusing on specific passages and in-depth studies, perhaps we should all spend a bit more time on actual faith and good deeds.

3) Teaching others about religion is important and again, it doesn’t have to eat up all of your time. Take ONE minute to talk to someone about your faith!

4) Anyone really can post absolutely anything on YouTube. :-p

5) I am Noah. I am awesome. Weeeeerd.

Chaser’s War on Everything

by JM

Don’t you wish you could give people tickets for being idiots? Well, so do the Chasers, and that’s exactly what they’ve done.

After having given out tickets for a different offense, the Chasers have decided people who have wanker number plates need to be warned.

Come on “PLA BOY”. Did you really not see it coming? Read the rest of this entry »

Tadeo Jones

by JM

Tadeo Jones is a fearless explorer who, with his father’s journal, explores a pyramid.

This animated spoof of Indiana Jones is highly enjoyable as it is the “serious adventurer” type of short with a bit of humor mixed in. (Pay attention to where he puts his hands on the statue in the beginning.)

I’m a big fan of the Indiana Jones movies, so I appreciate the humor in this.

Enjoy!

Bugga - Toyota Hilux

by JM

There’s something about Australia. If you go to war, you want them on your side. If you want good beer, ask an Aussie. If you want the raunchiest jokes about anyone, including Australians, ask an Aussie.

Now have you ever wondered why Aussies say “Bugger”? (Among the millions of other strange things they say.) (Pronounced “bugga”.)

Well, these two Toyota Hilux commercials might not fully explain it, but it might give you an idea why “bugger” is often even better (and funnier) than swearing.

Chaser’s War on Everything - Evangelicals

by JM

In this clip of The Chaser’s War on Everything, the Chasers examine late night Christian television.

Me putting this video up was nothing more than a video of something funny I saw, so no hatemail. I think even many of the Christians I know would have a laugh at some of this.

I mean, doing laundry in the love of God…? And the word…that’s the thing…and these words are things so when I say words…

You can’t watch this and not be at least a little confused.

Fetch

by JM

Fetch. We all know the game and assume our dogs love it.

But do they?

This is an animated short about a dog named Chester who would rather not play fetch. If he wants to get back to his nap, he needs to figure out a solution…

The animation in this video is simple, but well done. While I could have gone for a bit more in the graphics department, the story is funny enough to make up for it.

Enjoy. Oh, and make sure to watch all the way through it - even the credits. It’s worth it.
