One Handed Rubik’s Cube Solve 20.09 Seconds

by

This is amazing. I don’t even think I could turn a Rubik’s cube with one hand, let alone solve it in 20 seconds. In fact, thinking back, I don’t even think I ever solved one of these mind numbingly difficult puzzles, either as a kid or an adult.

Is it me, or do these things come in and go out of fashion more often than I change my underwear (for the record you can turn it inside out, and they’re fine for another 2 days). They were fashionable in my school playground, and then disappeared from view. And then all of a sudden they were back, with Rubiks this, and Rubiks that, and adverts for the blasted things everywhere.

All of which is not important, and instead of listening to me waffle on, just rewatch that video of a genius solving it!

I can’t see it now (work + YouTube are a bad combination) but after watching The Pursuit of Happyness this past weekend my fascination with the Rubik’s cube has returned. I can’t imagine solving it two-handed in two weeks talk less one handed in less than 25 seconds!

I used to get so frustrated with my own Rubik’s cube that I used to cheat. I ended up peeling off off the stickers per each side and putting them back on so it looked as if it was fixed!

    (the shame)

  3. DaveP Says:

Jummy, I’ve never solved one, but then I’m thick.

Meleah, That’s exactly what my gf informs me she used to do lol. No shame in it, as it looks like the method was quite widespread ;)

(for the record you can turn it inside out, and they’re fine for another 2 days).

So that’s a total of 8 days per pair.
    2 days forward,
    2 days backwards,
    flip inside out,
    2 days forward,
    2 days backwards.

You should do a money saving blog.

  5. DaveP Says:

8 days per pair is spot on 2xKnight!

I should do a money saving blog shouldn’t I… but it would only be about underwear. Niche enough?

  6. 2xKnight Says:

Niche? Nah, not even that. More of a crack.

  7. DaveP Says:

Lol, I like it, I’ll use it in my title somewhere ;)
