March Madness: Son of Sam, Pt. 2
David Berkowitz (”Son of Sam”, but his real name was Richard David Falco) killed six women and wounded countless others. He also killed countless animals just for the heck of it and comitted arsonist. He terrorized New York City — wouldn’t that make him a terrorist?
He’s still alive, and still just as dangerous as in the mid-seventies, when he went on his infamous crime spree. Only now, instead of showing his psychosis through acts of violence, he is trying to ingratiate and seduce others into caring for him because he’s been supposedly “Born Again”.
He heard voices coming from barking dogs. The dogs’ barks kept him awake. At least, that’s what he claimed. He thught he was the son of the devil — and perhaps that’s the only tuth he’s told in his psuedo-life:
He’s written books and has legions of adoring fans. Just look at the comments on some of the YouTube videos featuring him and count how many say something to the affect of “God Bless you, David.” It makes you wonder who is the more insane — Berkowitz or those who like him. Another sign of psychosis is blaming others for your own behavior. He blamed Pagans and Wiccans introducing him to Satanism — which is a lie, because Pagans and Wiccans don’t believe in Satan.
Although I tend to try to keep things snarky and light here on YouTube Digger, there’s very little that’s funny about the madness of David Berkowitz. As a survivor of domestic abuse, it raises my hackles to see an abuser literally get away with murder. He tries now to make himself pathetic in order to get the sympathy (and money) from others.
