Lucid Dreaming
My dream life is far better than my waking life. I tend to think of my dream life as my real life and my waking life as serving my time in Hell. One of the nicest things about dreams is that you can get to the point where you recognise that you are dreaming.
And then the fun begins.
Some people are born knowing how to lucid dream and some have to be taught. Anyone can learn how to dream lucidly. Lucid dreaming (where you are aware that you are dreaming and can to some extent control them) was taught by Tibetan monks and many aboriginal peoples in order to help get a better perspective on life. Some things that are so important to us in waking life mean nothing in the long term — because after we wake up, it’ll all fade away.
What Can You Do In A Lucid Dream?
Pretty much anything you want. Some dreamers say they learn to have complete control over all of the aspects of the dream, but I think it’s important to learn to go with the flow of the dream and see where it leads you. Heck, no. But it can help make waking life far more interesting. You also can learn that you do have some control over what happens to you in your life.
