Jonathan Coulton - Tom Cruise Crazy
Being Tom Cruise Crazy is an illness, fortunately there’s not many people with this weird disease, only Tom Cruise himself, and a few uber hardcore fans such as Eliza at Tom Cruise Watch. I hear she’s getting treatment for her illness, which consists of blogging about the guy 24/7. Anyway, enough rambling on with no meaning or substance, instead let’s enjoy a song…
I love this song, and live recording of it, all except for the annoying pedant who feels the need to correct singer Jonathan Coulton when he asks if they’re in Los Angeles… “Actually we’re in Santa Monica”. Oh shut up, get out of the club, and take your annoyingly whiney voice with you.
So just remember, if you start acting heterosexual, when you are clearly gay, have issues about your lack of height and start wearing tall shoes to make up for it, or act like a loon on Oprah one day, you may have contracted Tom Cruise Crazy.

Wow thanks for “digging” this up, Dave, I have never seen a live clip of him before and it was great. My favorite is “Code Monkey” but I have a definite fondness for “First of May” as well … you just can’t share “First of May” with many folks due to the, um, subject matter.
Thanks again, Dave! You made my day!

Great video. I love Jonathan Coulton. Skullcrusher Mountain is my favorite, too. It seems like all the celebrities of my youth like Mel Gibon and Tom Cruise are now viewed quite differently.

I’m glad you all liked it. I’ll take a look at some of his other stuff, and definitely the songs you guys class as your favourites :)
