Greatest American Born Feb 12
Not so long ago in a galaxy not so far away, the greatest American in history was born. The country celebrates this pivotal birth with mattress sales, lots of speeches and cakes smothered in red, white and blue icing. This person saw the best in everyone and decided to fight for what was right and spent many years devoted to public service.
This person is, of course, my Mom.
Hey, she not only took me in after 30 years of not listening to her, but she took in my dog, too. She’s a living saint. She also was smart enough not to do anything that would get her on YouTube. So, let’s celebrate my Mom with a variety of YouTube clips not featuring her. (Oh, just run with it).
Mom was born and raised in Aldan, Pennsylvania — a town she was later glad to move from. Aldan has some incredible archetechture, a honkin’ big church for rich white people and a trolley stop. But, the most important thing to remeber about Aldan is that my Mom is from there.
So, why did she move from Aldan? (Keep in mind that Aldan does not have a fire company, but does have a clock tower and a walk of fame). She moved to get away from scenes like this:
Here’s Mom’s favorite bit from Sesame Street (I wasn’t the only one who liked it):
So, let’s join in wishing Mom a happy B-day. Wait for it!:
Love you, Mom.
