This video is truly priceless. It had me first laughing, and then thinking ooh, that’s harsh! I’m not a great fan of Mr Cruise, thinking he’s a smarmy, leering, slightly strange sort of guy. And his devotion, and constant harping on about scientology makes me want to vomit, so this video is much appreciated by me, at least.

I was recently reading my friend Neelima’s blog about healthy eating and she posed the question “Who is your diet guru?” I answered that it was Dr (maybe) Gillian McKeith, who is a British health nutritionist who has her own programme in the UK called “You are what you eat”. So Neelima did a great post detailing the rules and regimes Dr McKeith uses, and extolling the virtues of those methods. So, I was drawn to look on the trusty YouTube for some nice clips of the show, which includes a segment wher she studies the fat person’s crap to see how their diet is affecting them. Unfortunately there are no clips! Except for a good couple of spoofs which I thought I’d bring you today.

Bruce Lee high speed art

This is obviously from MySpace rather than YouTube, just for a change. It shows a guy who calls himself Phil in the circle painting Bruce Lee on a massive canvas in a rather unusual way. While I think the end result isn’t the best portrait I’ve seen of the great man and master martial artist, it’s done in such a unique and clever way, with the guy using a series of chops and karate moves to create the work of art, it’s well worth drawing attention to and posting on YouTube Digger.

After seeing Ricky Gervais’ skit on Comic Relief last week I was encouraged to search for some older clips of the great man and here is the classic! This dance came from Series 2, Episode 5 of the original British version of The Office and see David Brent (Gervais smarmy character) trying to impress his colleagues and co-workers by dancing for charity. Being British, Football or Soccer is in my blood, so that explains why I look for clips on the sport on YouTube. What it doesn’t explain is the recnet outbreak of violence that is seemingly creeping on to the pitch! Last week we had, and I posted footage of the Inter Milan and Valencia players going toe to toe with each other at the end of a match. This time it’s the turn of a bitter and idiotic Tottenham supporter to run on to the pitch and try to attack Chelsea midfielder Frank Lampard at the end of the FA Cup quarter final replay on Monday. On Friday night of last week, The UK had it’s traditional Comic Relief fundraising event. This is a way to raise money for needy people, especially in Africa, by making people laugh and bringing comedy in to what is essentially a sad and miserable situation. For those of you who saw it, here are some clips you may want to relive and laugh at again. I love Weird Al Yankovic and have done since the 1984 days of the ‘Eat It’ spoof of Michael Jackson’s Beat It. This song ‘White and Nerdy’ was the 2nd single to be released from his album ‘Straight Outta Lynwood’ which is a brilliant spoof on NWA’s seminal ‘Straight Outta Compton’. (more…)
