Burning Water

This isn’t quite as amusing as 1,000 ways to open your beer, but it’s still pretty interesting.

Turns out yes, water can burn, and all you need to make it do so are matches, two batteries, and a glass of water. *gasp* To be honest, it doesn’t look all that impressive on the video (until he lights the paper with his burning water), but it is pretty cool science.

Enjoy.

All in all, a pretty cool experiment, but annoying. Why? The experiment itself isn’t annoying, it’s the fact they post up what is your basic how-to video, and then tell you either not to do it or not to burn the water.

Yeah. I’m going to do this, but simply stop and watch the batteries bubble. Right.
