20 Good Reasons

by

I decided it was far past time I put some music videos on here, and so I’m going to start with the video Twenty Good Reasons by Aussie band Thirsty Merc.

Thirsty Merc has been gaining popularity in Australia and have had their songs used on television to promote different shows. They’ve also been touring around Australia recently, rocking it, and promoting their newest album Slideshows.

Take a peek at Twenty Good Reasons - both the regular and acoustic versions - and let me know what you think.

(Some videos put after the more tag so the site loads faster)
Here’s the regular version:

Here is the piano acoustic version performed by Rai, the lead singer:

I like them. A young cousin of mine put me onto them when they were just emerging. When I first heard them I thought I was back in the early 70s.

In fact, I was treated to a free concert by them and the Rogue Traders for this year’s Canberra Day. They have a lovely live presence - very warm and friendly.

Oh, I’m a bit jealous. That would have been lovely. I’m hearing a lot of good things about them from things about their music to their personalities.

  3. Gillian Says:

They’ll do a concert in Melbourne one day, and you will go :).

I’m surprised they’re so little known outside Australia. They’re very easy to listen to.

  4. JM Says:

Give them a few more chart toppers and they’ll hit the States soon enough. :)

I’ll take up donations for tickets. :)
